The RN Supervisor will oversee nursing staff, coordinate patient care, and ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing services in accordance with established standards and guidelines. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Supervision:
- Supervise and manage nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss patient care, address concerns, and promote team morale.
Patient Care Coordination:
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and outcomes, making necessary adjustments to care plans as required.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in nursing care.
- Conduct audits and report on quality metrics, implementing improvement plans as required.
Training and Development:
- Provide orientation and training to new nursing staff and ongoing education for current employees.
- Mentor and support nursing staff in professional development and leadership skills.
Communication:
- Facilitate effective communication among team members, patients, and families to ensure continuity of care.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and upper management, advocating for nursing needs and concerns.
Crisis Management:
- Respond to emergencies and provide clinical support as needed.
- Implement appropriate protocols in crisis situations to ensure patient safety and health.
**Qualifications**:
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) may be considered with relevant experience.
Licensure:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or Compact license.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technology.
